Mew's Total Drama Controversy Meme

Okay, a lot of this isn't perfectly thought out, but I believe in it.

Favorite Character

Oh, Gwenny. The only sane girl in Island, self-sacrificing (albeit derailing) in Action, and...let's just say she was brave in World Tour. Her biography warms my heart, and I think we could use a few more references to that side of her in the series- the little family girl. She, IMHO, has more personality than anyone else in the show, even though it's not always unearthed enough. She was satirically funny (mostly in Island) and really sweet with Trent (again, mostly with Island). She's also one of the few, if not only, people who can get Duncan to show a side of himself that isn't an asshole. Not to mention her KILLER rap skills...XD. Even if she was a cheater, Duncan is as guilty, and Gwen has enough character to fall back on. She had a teeny bit of regret, at least. I miss her Island and even Action personality. She shouldn't be a villain...and she definitely shouldn't embrace it.

Despised Character

Lightning is one of those characters you think a nine-year-old could have created. The Annoying Orange is funnier than his stupid SHA-gimmicks. He's like Tyler and Justin with any real depth sucked out of them. How the hell did he make the final two? (

Favorite Season

Many shows are best in their original seasons, such as SpongeBob or Pokemon (in my opinion, at least). Total Drama Island is up there. At least, it's the season that follows the point of the show the most: to be a reality show stereotype. It had realistic drama, especially in the early episodes. The characters were all at their best, not having been flanderized yet. Courtney and Geoff are good examples of this. The challenges were pretty basic, and there wasn't too much confusion like in Revenge or World Tour. Everyone got the karma they needed, but nothing too harsh (I'm looking at you, World Tour T.T).

Despised Season

This wasn't a complete dud of a season (Jo, Dawn, Scott, B, and Brick were okay), but this was a meh season at best. For starters, almost all the characters are flat, Mary Sue-ish, or just plain asses, and we didn't even have enough time to get to know them, since it was only 13 contestants and 13 episodes. Chris devolved into an absolute jerk. Almost nothing from the previous season was resolved. Mental disorders are a little dark for a series like this, and having a character whose main trait is having one isn't the best thing. The whole radioactive thing doesn't even fit the aforementioned point of the series anymore- it was like a weird sci-fi movie, especially when you consider what Scott and Dakota went through. Overall, it took everything I hated about the show and enforced it. Let's hope All Stars doesn't do the same.

Overrated Character

If Lightning didn't exist, Duncan would have made the despised spot. He's rude, ugly, and doesn't deserve the friends and GIRLFRIENDS (who are WAY too good for him) he has. Duncan didn't get enough karma for treating most of the campers like crap. And he's mean to deer and trees. ;-; Duncan fangirls really need to rethink who they're fantasizing over, because we've seen the trouble Duncan gets his girlfriends into. He's not lovable; he's a creep. He's overrated by the fans and the creators who stick him into the finals every damn time. Sorry, Duncan fans.

Underrated Character

Beth is underrated both by the fans and by the writers. She's actually very adorkable in my opinion, and if used correctly, she could have been the first Mabel (yes, that Mabel). Her innocence and naievity is almost endearing. Her and Brady were pretty cute, too. Overall, while she's not high on my list of favorite characters, I find her very adorable and too often forgotten by most.

Favorite Couple

Forget the fact that Trent is the predecessor to Flash Sentry. Every Gwent moment has made me squee. They had real emotions that made the first season and parts of the second season extremely heartwarming. A little cheesy, but heartwarming. It broke Gwen out of her shell. The Gwent arc of TDA was my favorite, mostly due to Trent gaining an actual character. The interactions in TDWT, showing that they're actually friend-ish now, really warmed my heart. These two got me into Total Drama. I love them for that.

Despised Couple

I know they're parodies, but it felt a little pointless to try and start ANOTHER love triangle between two couples that weren't even that sincere. Anne Maria annoys me a little; Vito annoys me a lot. A forgettable couple. Sorry, fans.

Favorite Song

SHE'S BLAINERRIFIC! The tempo of this song is really fun to me, and has a catchy rhythm. I've always wanted to make a PMV out of it (Trixie as Blainely, perhaps? :3). I love almost all of the songs, but this is one of the ones that I really like.

Despised Song

I don't like Harold's singing voice. I don't like the Drama Brothers idea (I dislike boy bands). This song is unmemorable for me, and the rhythm is kind of off. I like Harold, but come on.

Favorite Episode

I know what you're thinking: "But Mew, how can you like Search and Do No Destroy when you love Gwent?" This episode focused around a few things that I like: Heather being low down, Gwent being adorable, and Gwen's emotions. I've already used a lot of scenes in my "This Day Aria" video from this episode. The status as my absolute favorite episode is shaky, and I'd have to say this competes with "Not Quite Famous", "Not So Happy Campers Part 1" AND "Part 2", "I See London", "Beach Blanket Bogus", strongly with "Trialed by Tri-Armed Triathalon",...a lot, really. It's hard to pick a favorite! D:

Despised Episode

...but it ISN'T hard to pick a least favorite. For one thing, "The Enchanted Franken Forest" focused a lot on the annoying antics of Lightning. For another thing, Commando Zoey was not utilized as well as it could have been. I don't like Revenge all that much, but with these three, things only went downhill.

Okay, remember: these are just opinions. Don't be like, "BUT LIGHTNING'S AWESUM" or "ISLAND SUCKED!" I'm open to your own opinions, but don't flame about it, please.
